Ha, nice one minks. I bet they got sick of everyone coming up to them and asking the same, Ubitards.

Let's hope between that, their forum feedback and the ropey beta performance, it will convince them to splash some euros on proper servers, although I fear the decision has already been made, the tight, garlic munching, sheep burning, frog botherers.

It's already been delayed, I had hoped it was for the greater good. Surely all the beta has highlighted is that servers are a must. There's also no single player campaign, so the focus is definitely online, servers a no brainer if they are serious about esports also.

I guess we'll find out its almost current state in next week's beta. Always folly to base a whole article on the musings of some Gaffer.

For all the folks who have played the alpha, that's the first I've heard of it being really bad. Especially with it being played at expo's around the world.
Like webbo said, we'll find out soon enough.

MASSIVE pinch of salt must be taken with that article.
First it says it's out 2016 and then goes on about it being out in a couple of months.
And the insights the alpha tester report are earth shatteringly detailed. I.e. 'It's really bad' and that's it.
As kern says it's the first I've heard of it. It's all over YouTube. NDAs are being broken left right and centre. It looks fine to me and no one else says it's shit.
Besides we will find out for ourselves next week.
It was a closed network. EA and activision both used dedicated show servers. Activision going to the length of creating full maxed out guardians then requesting Bungie move them from the main server to the show one.
SWBF was ace at the show. The real test will be how it plays on real life shitty broadband with people on varying speed and pings
Machines they have experience of and lower player count should raise the chances of it working better than BF4. I'm assuming that ditching the server browser should also help, although that does seem like they might be introducing an untried matchmaking system and there'll still be lots of South Africans and Brazilians playing that are nowhere near a server.
