This game makes me smile. It is just....Just Cause 2 enhanced but the wingsuit adds so much I'm not sure I'll ever use the JC2 code that came with this game. The tethering is crazy fun too. Had a mental mission with cars chasing me and i was wrapping the round lampposts and attaching them to the ceilings of tunnels. Awesome stuff. I'll try and get some action clips tomorrow, was too busy concentrating earlier to even consider grabbing the clips.
Mastered the wingsuit a bit more, managing to hug the ground a bit more confidently.
I've still not played much, but definitely enjoying it 2 hours in vs. 10 minutes in.
It still infuriates me. There's a lot to like, particular when you're just dicking about, but then the constrained missions seem boring as fuck. Like the 'blow up lots of specific stuff', with randomly spawning enemies and allies, and the difficulty working out what you're meant to blow up and where it is. And the driving sucks - interweaving it with DriveClub hardly a fair comparison though, I suppose! And the characters / voices - fuck me.
And the load times really do make it feels far too disjoint for an open world game, and it makes e.g. trying to 5* a challenge an exercise in patience as much as anything else (I had a 1m15s wait trying to reload one trial - NOT GOOD ENOUGH.)
But then I'll start flying around, and find a new car, and drive it into the dock by the garage and panic but then realise I can winch it out with my grappel, and all is nearly forgiven. It is FC2.5, but I'm left with the niggling feeling it could have been great with a bit more refining, without which it's falling short.
Steal limo, collect passenger and kill them. Make it look like an accident I'm told. Ok, I'll drive off a cliff and jump out last minute. Oooohh, a petrol station.....
I've died alot while being mesmerised by explosions.
Edit: Also, the loading times seem much better now, aside from the initial load into the world. GTA is always a bit sluggish to load though initially iirc. Challenges load up fairly fast now. Really enjoying those too.
