Some time ago in Japan, 2018 probably… There were trademark documents that had to be read allowed. So on an official document in Japan is the IPA character o̞ for both 8BitDO and BESTODO.
But as some on here know that was too close to Nintendo (who they were having too much trouble with) and they began going with the scooby doo version.
