Well...yeah, I did stuff. Was in China and working full-time aged 20. Since then, changed jobs a couple of times, got promotions, got a couple of nice paydays, went back to uni and finally learnt the language, did Player stuff, fell in love, twice...and yeah, more.
But, it all came with sacrifice...I never went to uni in the UK, I haven't seen England in years, I missed the birth of my nephew, funerals of my grandparents, lost every penny I've owned, twice again...so yeah, a different path to most, but not "better". Just what I did.
This happens to me constantly IRL. Ill say something "witty" only for it to be mistaken for me being a prick. Of course I can now throw in a few choice cuts disguised as witticisms.adkm1979 wrote:I use too many ellipses, too. Well, probably... I suppose the issue with exclamation marks is that, like emoticons, they make me assume the writer has the mental capacity of a six year old on a sugar rush. The difficulty is that, when you have a dry, sarcastic sense of humour, omitting exclamation marks and smilies makes some of what you write indistinguishable from a psychopath, or at least just an obnoxious, arrogant prick.
