Couple of thoughts; fantastic story, which I really did enjoy. The whole "one cut" idea worked well and really added to the immersion.
Combat was great and it was a technical marvel, both graphically and sonically.
The upgrade trees were a complete mess. The GUI left me scratching my head and I didn't have a clue what to upgrade and when. Lot's of the upgrades also appeared to grant tiny improvements which often left me thinking about the point of upgrading at all was.
The length of the game was a joke too. It was far to long. Even the ending battle (from the same bit in every game of this type when you get asked "sure you don't want to upgrade? This will be your last chance") took about 2 hours to complete!
Never before has there been a better example of "less is more". The package could have been slimmed down considerably with a less convoluted upgrade tree, smaller tighter game play sections with the same story and I'm sure it would have been all the better for it.
Overall, pleased I played it, enjoyed it quite a bit, but I'm glad it's over.
I’ve got this weekend wife and child free to power through. I did suggest that I send it on unfinished but we decided it was alright to hang on to itacemuzzy wrote:Can't believe Bob has taken over a year and not finished it yet
