But I have 4 2D Mario platformers. SMW is enough - gives me room for 3 games. I could just put Mario All Stars in my list (the version with SMW). What a compilation that was.

I almost did a little whoop when I saw Panzer Dragoon Saga on your list, I was never able to get hold of it on the Saturn and wanted it for about 2 decades but it's stupid money (though I did shell out a fair bit for the Shining Force III collection). I got an emulator working last summer and finally played, but I just could not get into it, I bet I would have loved it at the time.

After lookign at your list I'm also tempted to swap Fire Emblem 3 houses for Awakening, I think I enjoyed it more overall and it's probably the better game. Weirdly I completely forgot about it.

Refreshed my list and updated some descriptions.

Added Contra, Cosmic Smash and Puchi Carat.

Made room by merging the 2D Marios into one entry by referencing Mario all Stars.

There's a few more need plucked out and replaced though.

Saga really was excellent, even though when it was announced I would've preferred another rails shooter. The battle system is probably my favourite non-grid style of any turn based RPG I've played (although I supposed it's more realtime, opportunity based). A bit like the airship battles in Skies of Arcadia, or Severed. Not a clue how it holds up today but between playing the entire first disc (free with the official Saturn mag) and the whole thing I was fully hyped, and it didn't disappont. It's not huge either - maybe 14-15hrs long, so might be worth another look at some point if you can.

Loved General Chaos in multiplayer, such a simple/well executed/endlessly replayable game. Probably one of the most overlooked 16-bit mp titles. An online enabled reboot would've been ideal for the XBLA era imo.
