I think Liverpool will lose their top four status out of the current ones if Newcastle get in. They seem to be run on a sensible basis and their biggest change in personelle relied on selling Coutinho For 150m. But after that they seem to spend their budget on wages rather than transfers.

Agree with a lot of this. There's a lot of chatter about being the richest club in the world, which is nice obvs but also doesn't really apply I think to how they will look to build and run the club. I don't think newcastle will dominate or outspend all other teams to that sort of extent, it just means we should now have the backing to (eventually) get to a place where we're one of the big money clubs squabbling over the same signings.Blocks100 wrote:As its already been said, it took City quite a while to break into the top 4 after they got taken over by the Oil Sheiks. And they only managed that because they were a lone big fish in a small pond who could suck in any players they wanted. Now though, you have not only City but PSG and Newcastle swimming around like fat carp in a murky pond, trying to gobble up all the players. They'll end up chewing on each other's tail fins. There's only a finite amount of truly world-class players and no one club can seek to obtain them all. Newcastle therefore might find it much harder than City did to transform their club into a real-life Panini sticker album.
