I've got an uncanny knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in the final stages. Got his patterns down, but even though I know the leap always follows on from the shockwave it catches me out and on the odd occasion it hits for surprisingly massive damage and wipes me. Does it hit you into the wall or something?

Anyway, I'm still having fun with whatever I take in there, the Spartan boot melee effort was a particular highlight, boot, slash then dodge behind, slash, boot, slash, dodge behind, a sweet attack cancelling rhythm built up.

I'm not getting frustrated with it either, as I'm learning new ways to attack and defend each run, and every death feels like I could have done better. The run up to him is always interesting too, so that helps. It's in stark contrast to Hollow Knight, as I'd often lose to a boss thinking there's nothing more I could have done and the trudge back to face another random KO was boring me to death.

another boss/mini boss in the castle and got hammered. Just got stuck in a corner and couldn't roll through it.

unlocked another shortcut ability yet. It's a but demoralising having to do the same route again after all that.

he didn't catch me with a single leap. I only used a crossbow turret and a complimentary (because it caused the poison status and the turret had a 2x damage modifier on poisoned goons) bow, and just had to keep out of his way. It was incredibly easy in the end, only lost about 20% health due to the red shield shit.

Fucked the next section early doors as I picked up a colourless shield the concierge dropped to try out and it only made things difficult. Fuck those mutant head cunts.
