The “No Sleep ‘Till Sunday” tour rolls on. Spent the last two days in Dundee, living in the travelodge round the corner from Dens Park. Done there now, and currently in a travelodge outside Perth. Next stop Inverness in the morning. So back up the fucking A9 again and it’s already started snowing.
FML.
Modern life in the West eh? What is mildly depressing about that pic is that it could be a shot from anywhere in the UK, over here in NI included. (NI towns really don't look like their counterparts in the South which makes me properly feel on holiday when I cross the border). The homogeneity of places like that is a blight on us. Efficient but soulless.
Done with Inverness and back down the A9 to Perth for the St Johnstone match tomorrow. Part of the A9 was closed, leading to a massive detour for all traffic that was literally Sega Rally. Absolutely hair-raising drive. Quite who the fool was that thought it would be a good idea to detour all traffic travelling in both directions onto a twenty mile stretch of single track road is utterly beyond me.
Endless amount of completely blind corners with big-rig lorries barrelling round them towards you in the pissing rain and fog.
Honestly expected to meet my maker on this one. Horrendous stuff.
Anyhoo, back in the Travelodge I was in a couple of nights ago, and apparently tomorrow is another day.
