From the start you have screen filling firepower, scything through waves of popcorn enemies with aplomb and your secondary weapon is able to push back larger enemies' huge neon pink lasers. But then you get a hyper and when you activate that in the face of a boss generated curtain of death, you sit in your bubble of safety, dealing out chaotic destruction while cancelling enemy bullets. When timed right it is a deeply satisfying business.
