It won't happen but I'd like to see less fighters, but have them packing more moves. Kinda like guilty gear games. I'd also love to see a cell shaded style game. Maybe it could be a return of the alpha series. Less super combos though. In both 4 and 5 they are too strong. I feel sf3 has the best balance. Powerful but not game changers and tricky to land. Sf5s super combos for some fighters are ridiculously easy to hit.
I'd like to see middleware that actually makes the soberingly expensive costs of developing new vs-fighters closer to negligable so all kinds of freaks like me can think about putting schemes into a kind of reality. MUGEN with a decent dashboard or summat, with new predictive AI leveraged to generate animation mockups to iterate on quickly.
I'd like balancing to not be such an issue. So some fighters just aren't as good. Grand. That's the sign of a great player. I remember on sf2, zangief was tough to learn and play as but when you could boss as him, it marked you as a great player. I can only speak for capcom in this regard but every fighter doesn't have to have an answer for every situation.
Quite surprised with how stretched out the street fighter stuff is. It will be late 21 by the time the final character lands.
First up will be Dan (the only one with footage shown) and it sounds like his v skill will be his taunt. Then we have rose, oro, akira and the mystery final fighter.
It also looks like a new universal mechanic is being added with the Dan release so that could be interesting.
They should leave development on 6 for a while and put a new franchise in. 5 suffered from coming so soon after the latest update to 4 which was still hugely popular.
I'd like to see them try a dark stalkers, they have the models done already in the sfv engine. Or failing that, ask arc to do alpha 4 (maybe as a tag format). A proper anime sf game has a big appeal to me.
