It's a shame but I'm sure she gets Andy wrestles now and then. Staffies are amusing dogs to grapple/bundle/squash and then eventually yield to. Such relentless joy and energy reserves. Used to love wrestling my mate's Cane Corso/Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross. I always statted strong but never once went the distance.
Haven’t had any accidents since night two, which is nice. Hard to get used to the lack of affection after years of spending time with my dad’s dogs which frequently have no concept of personal boundaries. Daisy is very passive, and it’s hard to get a read on her sometimes. Other dogs don’t faze her at all, which is good I guess.
Oh My! What top doggo action on this here page
Daisy looks absolutely lovely Temps, and I dare say in good time the affection will shine through. Some aminals just take longer to make friendsies than others.
Greyhounds and lurchers are a sensitive, nervous bunch. Once she relaxes she'll be glued to you and full of love. Lady came out of her shell even more just the last month or so and I've had her since January. She LOVES the office now and several times a day will do the rounds from desk to desk looking for pats. And everyone loves her.
My dad has a whippet/greyhound rescue and 'glued to you' is key. She literally trembles when she can't see him, after a very aloof start. You're doing an amazing thing and she'll love you for it, but it'll take time.
In sadder news, RIP Kiki. Good innings at 16, we'd had her since she was a kitten. Hadn't seen her since yesterday morning, I found her up in the loft room a couple of hours ago, she'd taken herself off and I'd say she probably died last night. Not particularly peacefully by the looks of things either, not that I'll be passing that information on. Luckily the girls are in Hastings for the day getting Tilly's ears pierced and I've managed to bury her in the garden (not as easy as it sounds under astroturf). The wife knows but Tilly doesn't. They're super best buds, it's gonna be a rough one for her.
