Am light-pissed (below moderately pissed but above tipsy) and have forgotten my headphones. The question is, at what point on this train journey do I start singing some Waylon? I think anything earlier than just before my stop is probably a miss-step.
Hells yeah, already had Luckenbach on the playlist chief, is a sold one for sure.
Liking these atm, for hugely different reasons:
...and the more embarrassing one:
...just sounds like it's lifted straight out of Midnight Run or 48hrs or something. I can see the steam rising from the streets, the blue/pink neon trim around the bars with the Budweiser sign. Guilty. Fucking. Pleasure.
That Waylon track is a belter. I get that people are supposed to cringe at straight-ahead radio redneckers, but the feel good swagger of a big 18-wheel anthem is unbeatable.
OK, so whichever way you slice it this is twunts music in fairness, but in a big dumb [insert 80s action film you love] way it's got a thing. Brantley Gilbert - go on, tell him his names are the wrong way round:
I reckon you'd get into the DAC; push through the low hanging facepalms and he's awesome:
Massively into 'the more embarrassing one' from your post up there Nick, I hadn't heard it. I just finished a playlist for a mate, opened with Smokey. I'm smoking again tonight too, fuck it. Gonna listen on the doorstep at some point.
Just had my first smokey. Forgot to listen to it but I'm in an incredibly good mood. I love smoking, been so good recently too - only smoked cigs if I'm in a pub for the whole of 2018. Treat night though.
Plus my mate who also bought a bolo tie last year left last week, so now I've got to be that guy wearing a bolo tie but no one else is. Fuck 'em, I say, will go it on my lonesome, albeit slightly on'ry
Have just d/l'd truck simulator USA on android (free innit), christ the UI is horrendous, but it'll sort me out on late night trains home, slightly drunk, some country in the headphones, 18 wheeler shifting some freight.
