I mean, I like plenty of Skeps tunes, but he just doesn't have a flow or voice that grabs, he's perfect for the NA crowd like that, 'cause he doesn't sound uniquely UK.
Doesn't quite fit in here, but also kinda does so in it goes. Revisited Jamie T's first two albums today, had a great time. Subsequent releases have been patchy but I thought he was immensely talented as a youngster:
I normally listen to mixes with MCs but I'll chuck a few in without.
Threshold > Metropolis > Shadow Boxing is an all timer
Seen as one of the best mixes of all time (has some radio spots). Insane tracklist and mixing.
Daddies of the scene with Hype on true scratchmaster tings
The greatest DJ and MC combo the scene ever had. This was Live on Radio 1 way back when.
Absolute barnstormer of a mix from legends
Generally seen as the best jungle rave liveset ever recorded. Phenomenal selection and Hyper letting the beats ride.
DJ Randall - Too Hot Fe' Handle
(Poor quality) - Legendary half of a set from Toronto radio, and 7:30 - 17:00 is fucking incredble, hype, dirty and an example of live MCing done to perfection(its Second Strike > Sonar).
Came to post that but you pipped me to it! I enjoyed, hope she gets some decent recognition at some point, she dunks on pretty much every other female hip hop artist/mc/rapper.
"Let me tell you, when yung Rouj had his Senna and Mansell Scalextric, Frank was the goddamn Professor X of F1."
Yep yup. It's about time her album arrived. Not entirely sure what to expect from a full length but I hope she does herself justice and I do know I'll buy it.
