But it could be great! There's so much potential there, the variety of guns and gunplay is unmatched, the classes are fantastic bases for differing playstyles, and the art direction is something else.
All they need to do is completely redesign everything about it and balance it independently from PvE. Simple!
The 'gunfights' in this don't make sense half the time.
Solos just highlights for me how poor the gunplay and netcode is.
If you can't be revived it's a lot more frustrating when your shots don't go where you aimed or you get shot around corners.
After a thoroughly deserving kicking from the community and the games media, Respawn will be adding all 12 legendary event items to the store in a rotating format. They've also promised that this kinda thing won't happen again.
Fair enough I s'pose, but srsly, how the hell did they think they could get away with this shit in the first place?
In part, definitely, but the way Respawn have talked about monetization from the start I've no doubt they had to have sign off on it. I mean, I love Respawn's games and I really want Apex to continue to do well, but they absolutely need to start looking at the more popular FtP games out there (or just other live service games, R6 is a great shout) and taking some cues.
And for all of Epic's faults, I'm dead certain they'd never pull something like this. Their FtP model is as fair as FtP models get.
Whilst I'm not keen on spending 700 coins on 1 loot box, I'm also not massively keen spending 1800 coins on the skin directly considering I would need to buy 2150 coins for roughly 13.49 from CDkeys or 15.99 from Amazon.
What the fuck am I doing with the 350 coins I don't use?
If I bought two packs, I could buy two skins and even with the remainder I'd still be shy 50 coins for the next character that's released so it's a big fuck you from me.
Plus I got a legendary pistol from my first free box so I'm extra fucking salty about the whole thing.
I've seen a screen of someone who got both music packs from their two. I got the P2020 for my BP50 level so I wasn't in a great mood when I got the RE45.
I really want Captain Bamboozle. Mainly because I saw a comparison with Dave Chappelle's Rick James and now I can't get it out of my head.
What was that Arma mod that everyone was gaga about for years in early access? That always seemed like the root of the BR more than PUBG, so that sort of cheating seems like part of the mode.
Respawn have dropped another one of their "Stories form the Outlands" cinematics. This time it's for Crypto, the new surveillance drone packing Legend dropping with S3 on Oct 1st. They've also confirmed that we're getting TF2's Charge Rifle, as the leaks had suggested. Would have preferred something fresh, but hey, any new weapon is welcome at this point.
Woof.. I've got a 9yr old nephew who is a massive of the Apex so I'll be blatting through this Season as well. New map sounds groovy. New charge gun doodab too.
I do like me some Apex that's for sure. I mean I'm total gubbins as a rule but .still...
Double tap and high caliber hop-ups are interesting. G7 is pretty decent as it is so this will be interesting.
I need to get more ranked done but mates have flaked over the last few weeks. Will see if this update brings them back as I'm not sure how far I'll get with randos.

Yup. They did a great job with the S2 hop-ups, fingers crossed they get these right.
Besides the Scout, I can see the Eva-8 getting double tap, and the Flatline getting high caliber rounds. Not sure about the others. The R-99's already a beast. Hemlock and R-301? They're pretty good as is, on console at least. Maybe double up on the P2020? Nah, that'd just be daft.
Indeed, I've quite enjoyed the Flatline as I've used it more and gotten used to the recoil. It's still tricky at range but high caliber in single shot mode? Spicy.
I'm really looking forward to a new map and I'm assuming it's going to stay for all of S3 with a return to an updated Kings Canyon for S4.
I wonder if the player base is big enough to support two maps? I remember people saying ranked wait times increased as you got closer to Predator. I never played enough to get out of Silver but I plan to try and get some of the fancy extras in S3.
Damn, hadn't thought about the size of the player base. I just expected that the new map would coexist with the old one, but if it replaces it I'd be cool with that as well.
A brand new map on a different planet every couple of seasons would be a very cool mechanic for keeping things fresh.
Yeah, I thought it'd be cool to have two to choose from but I think that it'll be a replacement for the moment. I'm not sure what the player base size is compared to say PUBG.
