I had a listen to an episode or two of Joan and Jericha but I just finished a right cracker.
Season 3 episode 7 I think, during which they read Joan's erotic novella. Did some proper sniggering during that.
Danny O'Dwyer on the Bombcast has been a welcome addition (although only temporary). Someone who still seems to actively love playing games and gives a bunch of things a try. Plus his game knowledge is fantastic.
I'm falling apart to songs about hips and hearts...
Listening to the final Beastcast and it's really nice that Abby, Dan, and Austin were able to come on for the final show. Hearing them all in the intro brought me a lot of joy.
Alex, Vinny, and Brad are leaving the site. Jeff and I presume Jan and Jason are staying for the time being. They've not really said anything about what it means for the site going forward.
Vinny said on the beast cast that they're still with the company, meaning Red Venture who recently acquired their parent company. So just no more giantbomb it seems

Giant Bomb are going places too. They've got Danny O'Dwyer, Dan Rykart, Jeff Grub and some GameSpot crew coming on board for a big shake up. Exciting times for videogame podcasts....
B&H is the only one I can think of that's regular. I don't listen to it much, tbh but several episodes in the past have been very good.
There's an episode with Hal Buell who was a press photo editor in the 60s and 70s. It's about defining images but the conversations drifts a bit and he talks about how photography affected the Vietnam War. It's brilliant. Not sure if the other episodes are of similar quality but I'm sure they'll have found similarly fascinating guests.
Been listening to Behind the Bastards, which I cannot recommend enough. From the episode about Paul Manafort, to the horrors of the Belgian Congo, to the one I'm listening to now (about the birth of corporations and the worst ones ever - the Dutch and British East Asia company's) it's both fascinating, informative and funny.
Started listening the the It's Always Sunny podcast, which so far is great. It's billed as Charlie, Glenn and Rob discussing the series episode by episode, but what it actually is is three very close friends just chatting away and talking shite whilst occasionally discussing the episodes and how they made them. It's a bit self indulgent but it's fine because they're all very funny, self deprecating and have just enough of their characters personalities (especially Glenn Howerton who is very Dennis at times) to keep it very funny and very interesting at the same time.
Oh hey forgot about this thread. I am a podcast fiend (hour long walk every lunch break work life balance for the win), pretty much completed BBC Sounds
Nope Blindboy isnt for me. I totally agree, his sails can get too full of his own wind.
Ive been dipping into the Hector and Tommy podcast. There is a woman on there too but they don't give her any space to speak.
It can be quite funny but again I think ole Tommy and Hector can get a bit too full of themselves for me to really dig it.
Hector's insistence on pronouncing EVERY FUCKING PLACE in that local accent is just massively irritating also. Just say Khartoum mate. Its fine. We know where you are talking about. No need to unnaturally pause a sentence to overemphasise cccckkkkkkhhahrrrrrrrrtooooooomb.
