Skies of Arcadia *sigh*. Â I'm not a big JRPG fan, but I loved that game to bits. Characters I genuinely cared about, a great story, and some of the most inspired art design I'd yet come across. Probably the game I most want an HD remake of.
I started Demon Souls, tried to get across that damn bridge with the dragon swooping down and frazzling every undead standing on it then finally got massacred by the gi-normous knight giant man/knight thing stomping about the fortress.Tougher than Dark Souls good question...
He could've just said they came from another planet but seems keen to convince people with his bullshit pseudoscience that he knows stuff. I wouldn't trust him with my lunch. - SG
No LttP, not a strict RPG in the sense of the Squeenix games, IMHO.Â
Terranigma, Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana are among my all time favourite games. For some reason I immediately thought of the FF and DQ games and wasn't thinking much before posting!
Yea I was also expecting you to mention terranigma. I just can't spell it
It's a shame fire emblem doesn't really qualify as an rpg or is say that.

Kinda a strategy RPG type thing, isnt it? Genre of its own. I have yet to play a Fire Emblem game. I have the GC one but haven't played it. I should. I loved Disgaea and what little I played of Valkyria Chronicles.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet.
We have an RPG thread, if you want to divulge your favourite RPG game, you should do it there.
Always conduct a search, it's polite to make sure that someone put work into a thread catered for your taste.
Town name: Downton - Name: Nick - Native Fruit: Apples
I thought about mentioning it. Â I wouldn't expect a new joiner to know about the thread though, and it's not easy to find. Doesn't seem to be in Games Index, unless I'm going blind.
Panzer Dragoon Saga, closely followed by Skies of Arcadia.
Same. Followed by Final Fantasy VII, then Shining the Holy Ark. If we're counting strategy/tactical RPGs then Shining Force 2 would be no.1. If we're counting what the mags used to call 'action RPGs' then Landstalker would pretty high on my list too.Â
Sword of Vermillion was my favourite game ever until I played other RPGs. I likes the Sega ones.
Well...... i think i've got the attention of a lot of rpg lover's out there and i just wanna add Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga aswell as Partners in time for portable gaming goodness, in my mind the best way to play Mario (no pressure phew!!)...
