Just finished Episode 1. Enjoyed it, shall try to keep the momentum up this time and actually finish it (which i don't seem to manage terribly often with these new P&Cs...).
The soundtrack is a big part of it, and gets a thumbs up. Like me a bit of folk. Think I may have even heard a couple live when Josa Gonzales was backing a gig I went to, back when I had a social life.
I guess I kinda thought something like that might happen (particularly as each episode intro talks about "affecting the past"), but interested to see how many more big swings there are like that, plus how they weave in all my earlier choices which look to have all gone or the window.
So yeah, nice, but I still worry they won't pull a coherent whole together. Nevertheless, very enjoyable, and enjoyably different from like all the other games.
(Proper actual spoilery stuff here for those who ain't played it)
Spoiler:
Meh, that's the easy way to handle it. I was hoping for some cleverer intertwining. I've only just gone back to the original universe, so maybe there's more to come...?
There's probably a lot of discussion could be had about the end - free will and yadada yadada yadada. Unfortunately it's lost in the three hours of twadle that preceded it. There were times in that final ep where I felt it was incredibly imaginative but there were equally as many points where it just felt so traditionally gamey.
Still loved the whole season overall though. 1-3 especially.
Just finished Ep 4 - This is rapidly climbing my GOTY list - I just love the pacing and setting - it's right up my street.
Spoiler:
I had an inkling Jefferson was involved in some capacity - I'm curious to see how all of the Vortex/End Of The World stuff ties into the 'actual' end - I hope they don't balls up ep.5 and leave it in some unsatisfactory state.
The only suspicion I really had was (really don't read pre end of E4....)
Spoiler:
in the principle's office, when you had to choose either nathan (to be expelled), David (to be fired or something). Or Jeferson. It seemed a bit odd in the context - the plot I'd seen hadn't connected him at all to naughtiness, beyond minor Victoria stuff
wasn't the scene in the principal office after Katie's death? Jefferson had been taking to her a couple of times, and she was upset after. I don't remember it quite well, but as I thought he had a bit of a mentor role as well, it didn't seem that odd.
I haven't tried the blame jefferson option. Could have done, I blamed Nathan at first, but found he gave away too much, so switched to blaming David.
I didn't have any suspicions at all, so that end of ep4 was quite something. I'll believe almost anything people want me to believe.
