Yep. Watched it with the kids, and all agreed it was rubbish. As my eldest put it, “it’s a film about people making loads of obviously stupid decisions, but at least it has dinosaurs in it”.
Very little in the film makes sense if you think about it for any time at all, and none of it’s remotely exciting enough to distract you from that fact. The central conceit is ridiculous, and barely explored. Best of all, there are a number of scenes that should, in theory, have been pretty tense, but were instead unintentionally amusing (without ever quite being stupid enough to hit the so-bad-it’s-good bracket).
A total mess - it will presumably make tons of cash regardless.

Yup, me too.krs wrote:I love Jurassic Park and am glad that they never made any sequels.

Like how everything since Terminator 3 is even worse, or how Michaelangelo fighting with sausages/yo-yos instead of nunchucks was just harmless fun, or how the shark eating an electric cable becomes maybe not that bad, or how the bit with the trailers hanging off the cliff after they mended a baby T Rex's leg was amaaaaziiiing. Said the 11yr old me that saw it in the cinema and it was probably the first big blockbuster seen that way and the whole movie blew my tiny mind
