Over here, cinema in the Summer is a cheap way to get out of the heat for a couple of hours, so we end up seeing just about anything vaguely appealing.Matt_82 wrote:Ocean's 8 was shite. Fell asleep for 20 mins, I think. No one onscreen showed any more enthusiasm for the film than I did, despite the trailers suggesting that everyone was having fun. They all looked bored as fuck. And they spoke like a child was sleeping in the next room and they were trying not to wake it, which was odd. And they did that anti-aging CGI to everyone's face that they do in Marvel movie flashbacks but didn't have the same budget so everyone ended up looking like Superman's top lip. What grated the most was that everything was supposed to look cool but nothing did. It was like a student movie version of Ocean's Eleven where they tried to copy the vibe but no-one from the director/editor/actors had the skills to do it.
