I thoroughly enjoyed it. I didnt think it dragged at all and the monologues were kept to a minimum. It is still a Tarantino film. But why change when he has recieved such success and the alternative is generally mediocrity.
It isnt the deepest of plots, actually quite basic the enjoyment is the world he has recreated. The cars and the sound they make, the buzz the bulbs make on the vintage signage, the costumes, sets and props. All so authentic they help to tell the story set in world somewhere between the gutter and the stars.
Go in with the will to be completely engulfed and indulged in late 60s Americana and you will have a good time.

That was my exact reaction. I blame Jared Leto.davyK wrote:I groaned when I saw that post and the thumbnail. Too much Joker-ness around now. But the trailer has won me over.

I only saw it once, at the cinema and found the visuals in general (some brilliant exceptions aside) sorely lacking in comparison to the original. But I think a rewatch is in order...b0r1s wrote:Good stuff lads. Really quite a special film and perfect sequel. Get on that HDR 4K shit with it too and you have a work of art to watch.hylian_elf wrote:MattyJ wrote:Yes.
