I think it's mainly covid, also everyones buying softas because of covid and lastly because Italy shuts down for a month every summer so that's also not helped matters.

Just paid my self assessment tax bill.
Not typically something to be joyous over but having a big lump of cash at the end of a rough year has been a stress. I put away throughout the year but I have been close at times to having to dip in and hope for the best.
Me too, but I appealed it as I had proof of posting early enough that it should have arrived before the deadline. Fine was cancelled. Which was a reason to be cheerful and now we're back on track.
I pay my accountant to do it.
I find government forms to be rage inducing and I will only worry I have done it wrong.
The only time I did it myself I fucked it by not declaring my student loan. 6 months later I get letters through that make me out to be worse than Hitler. Dodged a fine but I reckon I will be on a list now.
I hate the drive to (and especially from) work, far too long on the motorway and we're not going back to the proper office until Feb at the earliest. We're currently behind an egg van with the slogan "I am the egg van" on the back though, so it's not all bad.
