  • Some refreshing honesty from the Tories at last.

Ignores the massive underfunding of our Armed services that has taken place under the Tories and the many 'bombshells for your family' that have included: vicious cutbacks in local services and the NHS, the increased odds of your family now relying on foodbanks, your disabled family members stripped of support and basic human dignity and frogmarched off to the local Lidl to stack shelves for pennies, your elderly relatives robbed blind by the many cheap nasty Care company profiteers that thrive under Conservative ideology...

Not that any of that stuff will make the news, It'll just be the usual 'lol, Corbyn eh? What's he like? Scruffy isn't he? Looney left at it again, wanting to feed and clothe you and ensure you don't fucking starve to death or die malnourished in a underfunded hospital corridor? How much is THAT gonna cost us, eh? Strong and secure, secure and strong, something something Brexit, we'll show the EU who's boss, Mrs May there - strong and secure leopard skin slip-on's...."

The worst part is, it'll inevitably work. Sigh.
  • Your family means wealthy Tories families.

Most people won't be affected, but the Tories like to portray any tax hit on the rich as being something that will affect everyone.

Also, the chutzpah to accuse Labour of creating more debt when George Osbourne created more debt than every Labour government in history combined.

which labour are then making really easy for them, by appearing weak and unstable and incompetent.

There was something about capping energy bills, which was a Miliband policy which they ridiculed when Labour suggested it, plus their policy of being a strong arse table, not being Corbyn, and look at Corbyn, I mean look at him. Just. Look. At. Him.
Was this intentional, or just the greatest auto-correct ever?

All families are wealthy middle class families, come on! You can't conscionably tax the rich, when your goal is to one day be rich! Despite the fact that what, 5% of the nation earn a salary of £70k, why would you tax them if you could one day be them?
  • Something is really sick with the UK.

That would not be ok over here.
Wind Waker is a bad game
  • You need a table to support your fat arse ... will you go for a Conservative table - strong, secure, a table built to last, a table that won't mortgage you and your families future? A table that will protect you and your hugely inflated backside...

Or will it be a lefty, Corbynite table? Flakey, scruffy ... the kind of table that refuses to pull it's tie up and dress appropriately ? The kind of table that happily spends YOUR money on other people's problems? A table unwilling to push the nuclear button and drag us all screaming to our firey deaths in a radioactive holocaust...
  • I fully believe that if we could make Larry an influential left wing satirical blogger that we could change the future of the UK. Just post stuff like the above all the time and watch everything become ok.

The Army has gone from 120000 in 2000 to 82000 (proposed strength, not actual, it's only at about 80000) today. Soldiers have received a pay rise of no more than 1% each year for about the last 6 or 7 years. And the budget that provides training and ammunition has been cut. I don't trust the tories with the armed forces any further than I could throw them.

Let's be honest about that bit though, because it's key.
It is something we look out for in our daily lives.

So it is silly for him to consider himself above (as funny as it is to consider it an 'aloof' quality) doing so.

It would have been a small, simple change that he could have adopted at very little cost to his integrity early on. He'd have taken a little flack at first (like 'two jags') for it, but not much...

Smacks of a borderline personality disorder.
We'd tolerate that in other areas of our life at a push... But that's not something we'd want in a prospective Head of State.

  • Yeah, but he's not that scruffy. He's not turning up for interviews in a string vest, slippers and some soiled trackie bottoms.

A smug, selfish psychopath in a nice suit being automatically a better candidate is completely nonsensical.
  • He looks absolutely fine, people are just fucking insane. Like how call centres demand you wear smart clothes because you're "customer facing" despite the fact you're on a fucking phone. These people have no real ideas, just pre-packaged bullshit sold to them by someone else.
  • Pfft. You wouldn't be writing so aggressively if you were wearing a suit right now.

    It was intentional.
  • In the brave new Corbynite future everyone wears fatigues and Castro-beards anyway. You are worker bee, working for glorious socialist state, not selfish capitalist individual.

We can explore this a little, but, when you think about it, the presentation issue is really just the 'Brown M&M' thing played out in the collective sub-conscious...

It can be construed in a variety of different ways, but it does essentially boil down to an awareness of a conspicuous detail within Corbyn's control, being taken as a proxy for his ability to make larger decisions.

You may think you're above that, but science proves that none of us are.
And if you're not doing it in this context, you are certainly doing it elsewhere...

We know this... This, to be honest, is fairly technical information. Not many people will be thinking of this in the same way as we (and thank God we can) are routinely able to.

Corbyn, in this day in age, sure as fuck should be working at this level too.

    At the very least.

That, as I see it, is the point.

  • When people say that he's "scruffy" what they actually mean is "has a beard".
  • I'd like a campaign that literally printed "The Other Lot: They Fucking Suck and You Know It. Raaaaaaarh."
  • Unfortunately the latest gaffe just reminded people that Corbyn thinks Diane Abbott could be a credible Home Secretary.

We're all fucked. Me and the wife are eyeing up emigration options again. Where's nice and not too hot?
  • I don't think he does though to be honest. In the event of Labour winning the election, I suspect all the arseholes who refused to take a post would suddenly be interested in one again and Abbot would be bumped down to a lower job.

If Andy Burnham wasn't running for Mayor, it would have been him in that interview.

New Zealand is where all those rich badgers are going, but it's well within DPKR missile range.

I don't think that's what they mean I'm not saying he needs a stylist, but could do with learning how to dress himself properly

He gives the impression of a kid on his first day a big school having been poured into a suit he clearly doesn't want to be wearing

However whilst this should be an irrelevance, I think dyno's point about m&ms is very valid, just as brown m&ms being removed was a legitimate thing on Van Halen's rider, then it's unfortunate that this becomes a conversation in the public's mind

  • NZ or Eire I'll shortlist. Russia I'll pass on thanks!
  • ITV are running a live debate.

Great, a chance for Corbyn to get his message across without May shouting buzz words over him or the press twisting it. He can speak directly to the people live on air and show the true nature of his policies.

Except he can't because he has refused to go on it.
  • It's like he doesn't want to win.
  • Which is so hugely dumb, imo. Really missing the point
I'm falling apart to songs about hips and hearts...
  • I'm starting to think Lib Dems might get more votes (if perhaps not more seats) than Labour.
