  • James Pond was never good, proper B tier 16-Bit pish imo.

Is there any fans on here? Am I wrong and there's more beneath the surface?

I just bought itso I’ll let you know. Purchased as a pure indulgent nostalgia trip.
That was awkward and unsettling, never post anything like it again.
  • james pond is ok, robocod was alright too. Decent platforming for the amiga. Those or Zool were the only good options. It was bright and the music is good.

I liked Robocod as a kid. I'm not paying a tenner for it though because I have a Mega Sg on the way and the original Mega Drive cart so what's the point?

Looks like the original Professor Layton might be getting a Switch remake.

  • I'm really enjoying yokus island express. It's a simple metroid style exploratory routine albeit a lite mode like Shantae risky revenge.

Only yoku is utterly adorable with chilled music, silly puns and no pressure. It gives the distinct impression it's a low budget game but it's pretty focused on doing simple things well.

It's the pinball equivalent of captain toad.

  • Yoku is great of you can play it chill all the way through. When you start wanting to move around quickly it can get a little annoying as the pinball element makes it hard to be accurate.
Still a lot of fun though and a lot of charm.
  • I quite like Layton

Wall Street Journal's suggested that two new Switch models will be unveiled at E3, a 'Pro'-type model for hardcore gamers and a cheaper stripped-down version for kids to replace the 3DS.
"ERE's like Mr. Muscle, he loves the things he hates"
  • Here’s the full report from WSJ, courtesy of reddit. Makes sense, I’d be up for a new model so I can hack my OG one.
    Spoiler:
    iosGameCentre:T3hDaddy;
    XBL: MistaTeaTime
  • Time to sell my Switch so i can buy the serious gamer version.
  • When they say “no vibration” they probably mean no HD rumble which means it’s unlikely to work 100% with a fair few games and really reduce the quality of those games that still work.
  • Better battery
    Concave joycon sticks
    Bluetooth headphones support

    And we're good.
  • Sort the d-pad out Nintendo.
  • Can't see splitting the software market is a good thing.

Not many games made use of the new more powerful 3ds.
    The Forum Herald™
  • It'd have to be a PS Pro/Xbox X power bump imo, the N3DS thing was a farce.

Edit: I don't mean comparable to in terms of power, I just mean having all software work on all HW units.
