I'm coming towards the end of the volcano, but had to switch off in frustration earlier. A long stretch without a checkpoint and sudden death possibilities if you forget what's coming next. And why do checkpoints only refill 3 hearts? I have about 8 hearts now, but still spend most of the game 1 or 2 hits from death.Moot_Geeza wrote:I like the way MB separates the puzzle areas into self contained dungeons, Zelda style. You've got the two stand-out sections to come, imo. The fire and mansion sections are very intricately designed, you really have to chip away at the latter in particular.

These later sections have been intricate and clever, but there's always something just a little imprecise or unbalanced to spoil it.Moot_Geeza wrote:I like the way MB separates the puzzle areas into self contained dungeons, Zelda style. Back to this again. Just to say that the mansion area really is excellent. Full of original ideas, cleverly structured and far less frustrating with its checkpointing. I spent a good couple of hours working through it gradually and still have a few bits to do.Moot_Geeza wrote:I like the way MB separates the puzzle areas into self contained dungeons, Zelda style.
