Sean Bull has been working his ass off the last couple of years on speculative designs for F1 teams – just fan work, nothing professional. He’s recently done a bunch of ‘predictions’ for what he thought each team’s 2018 livery might look like, and was pretty close on some of these so far. He’s just been hired to join the actual graphic design team at RenaultSport F1, alongside Joel Irish and Christian Clogger.
Sean’s work is bloody good, so this is a shrewd move. Joel and Christian were the team at Caterham F1 back when I interviewed for one of these jobs, and it’s nice to see them still in the industry and bringing on new talent.
Basically, keep an eye on Renault – I expect their graphic and livery design to get even better now.
i guess as a positive for McLaren, at least in the 6 laps that Fernando has managed, he's gone 6 tenths quicker than they managed in all of the first day of testing last year.
at the top, Renault and Ferrari are already over 1 sec quicker than Hamilton was on 1st day last year.
