  • Tick tick. Nearly boom time now. Just a few more days of incompetence and we can start the criminalities in earnest. No more of this half-hearted money laundering bullshit. We'll probably abolish tax while we're at it. I feel strongly we can be the gateway to all drugs into Europe, so we're going to need a minister for that. That way the barons can pay for some schools and the odd hospital. They love that charity shit.

  • As far as I can see, the proposed solution to the Irish border is currently to turn Ireland into our primary import route for absolutely everything, legal and illegal. So we’ve already prescribed the drug route.
  • The paramilitaries can look after the goods, which is handy.

  • The paramilitaries can put a mark up on the goods, which is handy for them.

  • Yeah but market saturation will keep prices so low even the kids can afford it.

  • I was thinking more along the lines of the UK’s gak habit literally funding terrorism against itself.

  • That's quite a delayed effect.
  • Takes a while. Lots of images.

  • No 10 won’t yet commit to holding another vote on the Brexit deal this week, saying it will only call one when if it thinks it has a “prospect of success”.

Can these cunts just fuck off please?

It’s a good thing we aren’t up against a deadline or anything.
  • Seriously, she should just accept the referendum amendment, and put her deal to a vote again.
  • Its May's deal or lengthy extension now.
She may as well take the time to get the DUP on board, it makes little difference if the vote happens this week or next.
  • The DUP alone wont make a difference. Every other party will.
  • The DUP alone wont make a difference. Every other party will.

She wont get guarantees off anyone else.
  • She will get guarantees from the Lib Dems, SNP, Plaid and the Funny Tinge that they will all vote for it. Labour will guarantee whipping (they already have) and have an idea of the numbers involved, and who they think they can persuade. Tory whips will have an idea of their numbers. But you're talking at least 200 Labour, 35 SNP, 11 Lib Dem, 11 Funny Tinge and 4 Plaid. That's 261. I'm sure May can summon less than 100 Tories to vote for her shitty deal.

Without the amendment, all of those vote against.
  • She's been very clear about not having a second ref.

As g man would say, what could possibly go wrong?

  • @Dante

Talk is that a lot of Tory MPs will back her deal if the DUP do.
They are the lynch pin in all of this, if they didn't prop up her gov she wouldn't give two shits about NI. If she cant get them on board with her deal she risks losing their backing and will lose a motion of no confidence.
  • Supposing there's a miracle and there's a second ref. And that result is to vote to remain but by the same margin, 48/52. What then? Does that mean we need a third decider?

  • I'm going full on Yoss optimistic+. Here's what'll happen.

    It'll be no deal.
Corbyn gets in power and we embrace a radical socialist change in the fabric of Britain.
Everyone sees how raging capitalism was shite after all and Europe follows suit.
China sees that it's own brand of raging capitalism has also gone too far and embraces Corybnism.
    America goes full isolationist forever.
The poor of the world are gently lifted out of poverty by compassion instead of greed.
    Climate change kills everyone.

It was going well until the end but the optimism was draining at the last hurdle.

Excellent, we shall expect it momentarily then.

It means that we have rejected Mays specific form of Brexit, and any future campaign to leave will have to campaign on a different specific form of leaving.

I thought last week said "we need a deal by the 20th or we're doomed"? And now May is happy to give past the 20th with no more votes, in case she loses? How does that add up?

Word is that the DUP won't bring over enough Tories to pass the deal. The second Brexit goes through she's toast anyway. Rumour is her supporters are just trying to buy her enough time to beat Gordon Brown.
