I'm really glad actually, because I find most big games these days to be deeply uninteresting, with all the busy work and unneeded filler fluff designed for short-attention-span mass market fucks. The number of games that have incredible worlds and interesting ideas, but get swamped by boring gamewank...
I get that this will probably have a lot of cutscene wank and stuff, but hey it looks weird enough to actually be interesting this time. The fact many are finding it dull AF gives me hope. Less is often more.
I won't be playing until the PC release next year though.
C. Although it’s not necessarily to progress as fast as possible, it’s to cut down on the parts of the game that I find uninteresting and focus on the bits I enjoy, which may not be progressing.
Somewhere between B and C. Not trying to be awkward but it really depends on how much fun the moving around is. I enjoyed it in Mad Max and Mordor, so occasionally set off to a distant destination by car or on foot, but in RDR/RDR2/Horizon I don't recall turning it down once unlocked. Same with Breath of the Wild, I only really explored to unlock the towers.
It could be a relaxing chillout game. If the music aint great then play your own relaxing music and enjoy a virtual walk. Or go outside and take christmas cards to the post office instead.
