I’m excited. Almost certainly not excited enough to be in day one, but there’s massive potential here, and I’m up for it some time down the road...for cheap...because I don’t have the monies.
It’s the purest example yet of the video game as mere content to be consumed, down to the very fact that each storyline you’re supposed to be emotionally invested in is marked with a completion percentage. Days Gone is a void.
Yeah, there's a few things in there that will doubtless annoy me. Anything with stamina management/resource hunting can go die in a fire, is my general rule of thumb. But it still looks worth a dabble to me.
I'm tempted to write something about the bear the ps4 exclusive and the inevitable wanting it to be shit.. but that would be as boring as my inevitable positivity.
