It was just: ‘what’s the dumbest, most outdated & inadvertently offensive pic you can find?’. Yeah, this cliched zulu pic is just what an Italian FA member would think was totally fine to base an anti-racism campaign around. Like basing a campaign about anti-German sentiment around a pic of a screaming Stuka divebomber, etc.

But the problem with that is that you’re posting an offensive image, all for the purpose of a pointless, not even very funny joke.

The joke was meant to be about the campaign and the incompetence thereof.

Sometimes I feel I'm being over sensitive. But on other occasions I read posts that will undoubtedly see people banned from a good number of public forums, weakly defended with 'It's only...' or 'It wasn't supposed to...'. Then a few hours later, I'll find the same prick posting about an unswerving passion for socialist ideals in another thread.

I do occasionally wonder what form of socialism such a person truly pines for, but that's neither here or there right now.

To be fair he's perfectly entitled to in this instance. Just because there was no malice intended doesn't mean there was no offence caused. If he hadn't mentioned it we wouldn't know, but now we do and hopefully we'll be more considerate in the future.
