    Yep. Google Scott Adams.

Oh my. I just googled that and now I don't want to read any more Dilbert.

    Yikes.

I’m not sure how you didn’t pick that up from the strips. Some of them are pretty blunt about religion.

I get the Friday Night Comedy podcast which gives me the News Quiz (which is great) and Dead Ringers (which is immediately deleted), but it never seems to provide anything else.
It rotates between The Now Show, The News Quiz, and Dead Ringers. Like you, I delete DR without listening. Like you, I’d love to get more things like Just a Minute and I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue. I’m really fed up of the BBC repeatedly thinking it knows better. First there was the whole ‘call them downloads not podcasts’ bullshit. Then there was things like pulling the best of podcasts, because ‘you can stream the whole show from the website’. Now there’s BBC Sounds which is just a shit rebranding of the same stance; the sooner they understand that people don’t want all BBC content in the same place, they want the BBC content the listen to in the same place as the other content they listen to, the better.

completionism - having a full set of something is a concept I've been into since my first Panini stickerbooks. There's a real joy to knowing you have everything of something and whilst I don't really have any full sets these days, there still is a really smug satisfaction to be had.

Mexican food - nothing more sociable, fun to cook (low and slow is my motto in most of my cooking) and more interesting in the mix of flavours than real (not Tex-Mex) Mexican cooking. Plus putting some real sour flavours into something is amazing.

10 Pin Bowling - I've never been great at it, I've never really rocketed up scored beyond 150-160 but I really enjoy it, and it reminds me of my time at high school in the states, and doing it to socialise on a Sunday.

fucking silly memes - really anything, in recent years American Chopper, the guy turning round looking at the girl, galaxy brain, big chungus, anything that does the rounds on the old twitter dot com.

a solid 2d platformer - meat boy, Celeste, Rayman legends/origins, NSMB - anything that's just a point a to b platformer with little in the way of metroidvania gets my vote.

a bag of crisps - my biggest vice

ice cream - my second biggest vice

Leith Walk - my favourite place on the planet to be - such an amazingly diverse mix of people and places and foods and shops and bars. It's just the most incredible mile of stuff in Edinburgh.

karaoke - I can't get enough of it. No sense of self-consciousness, fucking go for it, yeah let's clear out the place singing This Is Hardcore.

1910s America - specifically reading about it, a fascinating period of time and one in which the landscape of the country changed drastically. I'm still in awe of the transformation of California from Cowboys to Hollywood in the span of about 20 years. I've read books on the water wars, the race to get the railways out west, the death of the rancher, and I still want to read more.

podcasts - if I'm out, I'm usually plugged in to my headphones listening to podcasts. Partly this is a comfort thing tied to my hearing issues, but I'll just listen to people talking in my ears for hours. Oddly now more preferable than listening to music.

Martin Amis - he's a stone cold tosser, but with many of his texts I've found some really interesting or profound meaning in, even recently. Both The Pregnant Widow and The Zone of Interest are exceptional novels.

Vodka Martini - I like to pretend I know my whisky or gin but really I just want a dry as fuck vodka martini and some crisps cheers.

The Simpsons - I know every line from seasons 2-10 inside and out and every day I'll find some way to get it in somewhere. Shout out to when me and MK64 got in trouble on the oldrum for posting links in the deals thread and not explaining what they were, just putting Simpsons quotes as the link to click.

@regmcfly would you share some of your recommended 1910s America books? (or other media).

Southern California related would be ace, but not necessary. Have been meaning to read up on the history here but have been slacking.

I have completist tendencies myself. Before my game collection cull I had sets of game series for some platforms that I never played (RE on Gamecube for example).

My platforming tastes are same - A to B please. It's why I love the early Castlevania games. Games-wise though my true love is anything classic Atari related : their arcade output up to around '83 and the their dedicated consoles and early 2600 output. I love anything to do with that - particularly the design and artwork.

With you on the Martini - though I prefer a gin one. I love a whisk(e)y but I could see how one could go exclusive on martinis.

Mustard Flavour Pork Scratchings - these are divine, take the greatest crisp of all time (Brannigans Beef and Mustard) sprinkle their salt over pork scratchings, wow
