I could live here, for a while at least. It feels a lot like London in many ways, but different enough to feel exotic. Still, off to Toronto tomorrow, time to try out another city.
We went through Naples on the way to Sorrento on our Honeymoon. We both had everything crossed that the coach didn't stop and announce we were at our hotel. Luckily kept going as it looked a shit hole just from looking out the window. We decided against a day trip there.
My mother visited there a few weeks ago as she figured a whole week in Rome would be too much. She was wrong, and she said Naples is a total dump. Stay in Rome, day trip to see Pompeii and straight back to Rome.
Man I want to go back to Italy, not been for a few years now. Sorrento and the Amalfi coast are just wonderful. We loved Rome though. Venice was OK but harder to find decent food- best to get hopelessly lost off the beaten track and go somewhere there.
I did Positano, Amalfi and Revello yesterday. All are stunning.
We are staying up the in hills/mountains just outside Sorrento it's serene and spectacular.
Naples, in contrast, is a graffiti riddled, unmaintained, rundown dump with incessant noise, that is plagued by cars and scooters in every tiny street and it stinks of petrol/diesel. For the whole day we were there we seemed to be followed around the town by the same ear splitting bottle collecting bin lorry.
Skerret's posting is ok to trip balls to and read just to experience the ambience but don't expect any content. "I'm jealous of sucking major dick!"~ Kernowgaz

My sister and her husband went to Naples on a day trip on their honeymoon. They hated it. They were followed everywhere by groups of men and the whole places was filthy. I'm glad I didn't bother when I was there.
A couple of days ago I met up with a friend who is really good with computers. He makes great money testing out the security for various websites, some of the quite well known in Germany. Anyway, we were at his place and he suggested we go for drinks. I said I didn’t have much money on me, and what I did have I needed for putting credit on my phone. So he then opens his laptop, taps away for about 10 minutes, and then suddenly I get a text that 20 euros has been added to my account.
He claims he hacked the website of the network I’m on and changed my balance. It is all possible he actually did this? Or is it more likely that he just paid to top up my credit with his own money?
Vodafone lets you top up someone elses phone with just their number, via their website. So he probably did this, and made it look like he was a leet haxxor.
