If they re-release SS without motion, tidy up the start etc (bit like they did to wind waker HD) then I'd defo jump back in. But I can't look back on SS fondly.
I'm falling apart to songs about hips and hearts...
I have real nostalgia for Skyward Sword because it was part of my return to Nintendo. After getting a launch day switch (Twilight Princess, Rabbids and Wii Sports) I got rid of it in 2007 for a Rock Band set for 360. I regret nothing.
But in 2010-11, I got the Nintendo bug again having started collecting N64 stuff. Things like the virtual console, and what was to be honest, a really respectable line up , tempted me. In fact, to this day, I still think my favourite of my games collections is my Wii one - there's so many bangers there.
Anyway, back to when I got my Wii, it was the time of the Skyward Sword gold wiimote edition, and I just had to have it.
I put hours and hours into that game, living in Rodney At and waving my arms in front of a CRT (I didn't get an HDTV till 2011). There's something great about it. It is too slow, it's repetitive, but damn it's the best dungeons I've ever seen in my life.
I hate Skyward Sword with a passion. Not just a couple of hours but it’s not for me kinda thing either. Didn’t like it at all.
LttP was great in 94 or whenever but I’ve struggled with it since. Going back on the various VC’s I’ve always felt the nostalgia surrounding it hides the fact that it’s not actually all that great really.
Difficult round for me but not in the same way it is for most of yer.
