Most recent example is Super Hexagon. Just can't break 23 seconds on Hexagonest, but it's impossible to stop trying. Like getting addicted to running into brick walls repeatedly.

One of the MotorStorm PR single player races had me fuming for hours on end.
Super Meat Boy surely warrants a reference. The glitch levels on those, and Cotton Candy or whatever it's called... -
There's that level on Trials 2 with the huge fuck off hill in it. That hill is a dick.

right now i'm stuck on the motorcycle chase sequence in MGS4 on extreme, specifically the part with the ramp. goddamn it's stupid.

I'm playing CE Anniversary at the moment and am stuck at this very point. I have to admit that I'm not on Legendary though, I'm playing on Heroic and am still stuck. It's the cloaked Elites that get me.
I also got stuck on the very last level of Bayonetta. Unfortunately I hadn't read the manual and I went through the entire game without mixing any potions and consequently made the game more difficult for myself.

Actually, that reminded me, the Extreme HD levels. Hump obstacle, back, hump obstacle, back, flip, back, flip, back, headbutt obstacle back, beach bike on obstacle, back, back (by mistake), do obstacle, flip just before checkpoint, eat controller...ragequit. -
I can't find any videos of the Ultimate difficulty which should tell you everything you need to know. -
Also, I imagine Hyper Hexagonest will be quite tough. Fortunately nowhere near unlocking it.

The octopus boss race in Diddy Kong Racing.....and then the 2nd time with the silver coin challenge added in.
Monkey Ball made the heart race in places too. Once managed the narrowest path on the guitar level.

There's one on extreme, huge hill but can't remember what was at the top. Got stuck for ages on that.
But then this was the real bitch ass!
