Yeah I heard that too, kinda hope there's not any gigs. I'm sick of seeing bands reforming and try to grasp back some of their former glory, very rarely is it ever anything other than underwhelming. That said I'd KILL to reissue some old Gero.
Do let me know if you're able to make the BEB thing, lets grab a beer.
Good stuffage Gom, not had much chance to go through many of those mix tapes but fucking A what I have. Have you got on to the mix tape we made here a while ago? There's a link to a download zip in the OP if you fancy it.
I'm gonna drop this here as a few people seemed to like old stig noise when the mix tape was made. This was a live gig a few weekends ago.

Yeah I downloaded it the other day but haven't got round to listening yet, will put on now. Great selection, particular Brooks. Is NHK NHK'Koyxeи or this guy? Great either way.
Loop have got back together to curate and play at the ATP weekender at the end of November and also have some gigs at the start of December (more here). I'll be tripping down to Brighton to see them.
Saw them loads of times but my memories are about as fuzzy as this -

Been listening to Sleigh Bells third album, Bitter Rivals, quite a lot this week. Have to say it's caused some furrowed brows over here. First listen was a washout, no bad tracks as such but no real standouts either, wasn't 'til the third playthrough that I started to warm to it.
There's some good stuff here without doubt (Minnie, To Hell With You, and Love Sick come to mind), just wasn't expecting to have to search for it. After all, the first two albums positively beat you around the head with noise-pop awesomeness with the utmost urgency.
Worth a go for fans, but can't say I'd recommend it to anyone else. I'm sure it's only a blip though.
Aye, I had no idea. I'm going to forward him the zip of the compilation album- have passed it on to a few others who feature on it too like, so why not.
Oh yeah, Divorce split up some months back, gutted, gutted, all round.
Songkick has just told me that OBE have a gig coming up on the 7th of February at the Black Heart in Camden (which I've never heard of). London-based, noise-band-enjoying Badgers are highly recommended to go.
The Black Heart rules, as do the Horsebastard guys. Had fun bumping into them in different parts of Europe on tour last summer.
Got a 7" coming out by these guys in the next few weeks, as well as a repress of their two tapes (on one tape). They're touring the UK next month too, I'll post the dates when I'm not about to hit the sack.
Who you bumping into nutlet? Will keep my out for some wmnu, hopefully catch something round here.
Haven't bought any music this month...hmmm got any linkage Gom?
Found out the other day Shigeto is playing Liverpool at the end of the month. On the same night as 'Zeus!'! Fortunately the two venues are within spitting distance.
