Bramblewatch. Can't remember if I've updated on this in a while, but his stomach has fixed itself. It took months (he was still vomiting now and then as recently as early October), was by far his slowest recovery from anything ever, but he's back to normal now. The only difference as far as I can see is that he can't handle raw carrots since the illness. Which means he gets ever so sad when he watches me preparing certain dinners, but it's a small price to pay. Big thanks to Doctor Lockerby for intervening on the morning of the planned procedure.
Not a clue what he ate under that bridge. Something that mashed up his guts without any appearance of blood from the front or back. All's well that ends well though. He's on the lead 90% of the time now, for his own safety.
...well, it was probably more like Friday tbh as we thought we heard something scratching from behind the fireplace a couple of times over the weekend. Was expecting a rat, so wasting relishing the fishing him out the chimney process (we've got a grate that can be opened manually). Thankfully Mr. Magpie was tucked behind it. He couldn't fly immediately but recovered in a bush for a while then made it to a tree.
