I don't know if that's entirely true. We've picked up a few totally new faces over the past year, and I reckon that roughly as many have hung around as used to in the oldrums. Of course, we do seem to have stopped subjecting newbies to trial by Unlikely, so that probably helps. -

I didn't have the most auspicious start when I joined the maroon-rum as my first post was in the wrong thread. Despite gman pointing me towards a sign marked 'exit,' I found the correct thread and have been a regular reader and infrequent contributor ever since. Happy birthday and thank you all for keeping this community alive.
There are a few people I miss who haven't made the jump. I guess they are currently lost in the wilderness, but hopefully they will find their way home soon. -
