Hang On for Saturn wending its way to me. I had no idea it even existed. It has that early spritey 3D Sega look and is supposed to work with the 3D controller for steering. Looking forward to giving it a go as I like a bit of Megadrive Hang On.
@Eric I looked into those trueblue adapters for my PS Classic but decided against it as the soft mod it implements is irreversible and you can't add anymore games.
Tbf 813 games seems quite comprehensive so you should be ok. With the PS ones, each stick only came with about 50 iirc.
Heh... 5 mins after I post here Hang On for Saturn arrives.
Quite enjoyable - the control is a bit twitchy with the analogue stick as it has a short travel before you are at max steer but it's a question of adjusting to it. It looks like it is optimised for the wheel but it's unlikely I'd ever be bothered enough to get one of those.
It looks quite solid - I wouldn't be surprised if the track generation is based on the Sega Rally engine as it has that look about it. There's very little popup or draw in - at least in the early tracks anyhow.
I'd like to revisit Hang on. I don't think I've played it post the poor 8 bit home computer ports which is pretty unbelievable. I have it on one of the SEGA mega games multi cart offerings.
I've been tightening up my retro set up of late. Bought a new av receiver and 4K projector which has allowed me to connect a few other consoles along with an Dolby Atmos set up. My Saturn is currently in for repair and my N64 is getting rgb'd up.
Trying to get most things going through the OSSC which I love but probably not getting the best out of tbh. I hear the pro version is coming along soon which has a HDMI input which should let me add between my receiver and amp which should make everything a bit easier.
The screen I have is an old 4:3 rollup on a stand. The mechanism is old and sticks - it's quite lethal - could lose a finger easily. I like idea of using a blind....
I think an OSSC Pro is on the cards - I may even consider losing the CRTs if it works well enough for me.
Shit, got to be others with the same problem online - had a quick search there and nothing obvious tho; I'd post in one of the Reddit subs for retro/minis.
ah - one would think a faulty unit or some compatibility issue between the two then. I thought HDMI was pretty universal...wonder if it's a resolution problem?
