The Lesnar thing went on waaaaaay too long for me. It went past heat into boredom.  And then the comedy spot with Benjamin lost all the thus far accumulated heat, and had the crowd on Lesnars side because it was funny. It needed Paul Heyman on the mic.

Bayley as a heel is the best thing that could have happened to her. She'd been playing the same character since NXT and was dying out there. And she's playing a heel that doesn't think she's a heel. Perhaps it doesn't come across well on a one off show, but week to week it works.

As for Edge, he wouldn't be back if he wasn't ok to wrestle. Remember, this is the company that prevented Daniel Bryan from wrestling, even after his own concussion specialist cleared him.

Lack of kofi antics though

So I watched the NXT PPV that was heralded as one of the best WWE PPV's ever by Meltzer and, not trying to be some sort of hipster here but I fucking loathed the 2 most celebrated matches on it. I enjoyed both womens matches, Gargano v Balor and the tag match. The opener and the main event though were total fucking garbage. Literally 2 blokes just doing stuff, no selling, no story, it's literally what WWE used to (incorrectly) criticize other, less well known promotions for.

Canadian destroyer to the floor, who gives a shit because 10 seconds later the guys up and at 'em, low blow? Nah mate means fuck all. Total load of shit. Then the end, he gets hit with a metal belt? Oh do fuck off.

AEW is thankfully and justifiably beating this rubbish week to week. Granted they have misfires, but at an 80% hit rate it is a fun wrestling show. Glue factory where the stars go to die. Drunken rant over.

They just split WrestleMania over 2 nights (NXT womens Championship was always scheduled for Mania as Charlotte won the Rumble to challenge for it.)

Yup. Behind closed door and other unspecified locations apparently. Two shorter than usual shows, split over two nights, because there's no way they could get away with this nonsense in one eight hour sitting.
I'm almost tempted to pony up and watch the car crash.

Its happening at WWE's Performance Centre with no crowd. They've brought the big sign that would have been above the entrance to sit behing the commentators, so its mixing it up a bit from the Raw and Smackdowns that have been on the past few weeks.

All pre-taped. I imagine the Taker match (tonight) and the Bray match (tomorrow) will take advantage of this, especially if the end of Smackdown with Bray and Cena is anything to go by.
