Fucking hell lads, there's some fools trippin' balls in this thread over night one!
I loved every minute of it. A real world first. Even the couple of matches where I had no skin in the game I thought were really enjoyable.
And fuck me, I had a tear in my eye when Truth got the belts, and I was in floods when my boy Sami beat Gunther. Brilliant storytelling with the whole Rocky/Philadelphia angle. Zayn is just genius when it comes to this sort of investment.
Main event was colossal. Slow build to an absolute epic, and I was punching the air when Cody put The Rock through the announce table. Brilliant stuff.
On to night two LIVE then. Night one will be a hard act to follow.
...and yes, the WWE Network App on XBox is an absolute dumpster fire. Tbh, I've had worse nights with it, but it still signed me out on four separate occasions there. That's not a disaster if like me you're timeshiftimg, but the Bone will be going through the front window when the same thing happens with the night two LIVE watch.
It’s funny. I’ve done a couple of matches at this stadium, but I have no recollection of it at all. Didn’t care for Philly much. Fairly dull as US cities go.
I watched night one with some pals tonight and had a lovely time. There were some good matches and some bad matches but it didn't really matter as fun was had.
Main event was bafflingly flabby but had a thrilling final stretch. That walk and brawl into the crowd especially I don't know what they were thinking. Someone got hit with a bin, suplex on the ramp, crawl about a bit then back to the ring for a heat section.
Also Seth being in there kinda made sense in the build but in and after the match he just felt out of place in the story.
I still had a good time but it did not meet my expectations. Hopefully the bloodlines rules match goes crazy.
Gunther Sami was class and I think wwe were right to have that as the match and not Gable. Sami winning was nice.
Uso match was total rubbish.
Ladder match was a ladder match. Contrived nonsense with a couple good spots. Felt nothing for r truth and the miz.
