So...I wanted to post something in this thread earlier as I was very worried about Randy but, as stupid as it sounds, I didn't because of what happened with Matty and his grandpa - I thought it would seem silly by comparison.
Unfortunately, though, Randy is very, very sick.
The missus and I just spent an hour driving around trying to find a 24-hour animal hospital in this city but no luck, so we have to hope he can hold out until morning.
He's been rough through the day so we booked him in to a vet tomorrow, but about 3 hours ago he started bleeding pretty profusely from his, well, cock. His lower half is pretty messy, as you can imagine, and it seems like maybe the bleeding has stopped for now but he lost a fair amount. He's also very weak, as you can imagine. Unfortunately, given that it's a Chinese holiday, finding a vet on call was a bust, so we just have to wait a few more hours...
In hospital now: Vet seems quite solemn but says they may be able to help.
Gotta load of stones and crap in his bladder causing havok, so gonna have a small Op to give him a robocock to see if that helps release pressure and dislodge everything.
Randy looks fucking miserable, and his gorgeous white hair is in an absolute state, but I'll take that right now.
There probably not gonna be any more news here for a few days, I expect.
The surgery went well, but his kidneys are in very bad shape. He's on a series of drips and he can come home but has to stay in a cage so he doesn't hurt himself. We've got to take him back everyday to continue the drops. It'll be 3-5 days until we know whether it's working or not.
However, we've been told quite plainly the prognosis is not good and we should prepare for the worst.
Even if it does work, it'll be a stop gap - his life expectancy is now weeks and months, maybe a bit longer, but certainly not into his old age. He won't get full function back, although he also won't be in any immediate discomfort.
