I put a lot down to choice paralysis. So many games on my shelves and hard disks that I was constantly flitting, always wondering if something else might be more fun. I'm now choosing shorter games, seeing each through to completion, and gutted rewarded by the completeness and breadth of experiences as a result.
Choose a short indie game. Play it for what it is. Then move on.
Or don't, cos it's not like "playing more games" is any sort of irl solution.
