It's funny how dirty that word is over there. I was chatting with a guy a few weeks ago and he was saying how he wanted all this stuff, government funded single payer health care, free education and university, sick pay, higher minimum wage etc etc. I told him how supprised I was that there was so much support for socialist policies and he quickly said "oh, no way man, I'm not a fucking socialist".
