Forgot about the ghost piece, When I first saw that (think it was New Tetris on N64) I didn't like it but I've since grown to appreciate it as a feature. Better if it's user selectable though (don't think it was on New Tetris).
Having a good session on this. Done the first 3 parts of Journey mode. Had a go at Marathon and Sprint.
The third part of Journey is really good. Few dolphins, bit of jazz piano, chanting native Americans. That'll do. All the Journey bits start at level 1 so far, but there's some sudden shifts in speed that can catch you out.
Managed 112 lines on Marathon, so I've got a bit better since the demo. Just under 3 mins on Sprint. Both of those are only C ranks though, so still very average.
I rationalised it by saying I’d paid about the same for the witness. I am a terrible person.
For what it’s worth I’m glad I did the game is probably my favourite game of the year. Nothing (so far) has had me feel this thrilled/happy while playing.
For the money it is. It's not just graphical grunt, it's the lenses, the screen door effect, resolution, and that's the same for both. Obviously, the pro has better draw distance and stuff like that but most PSVR games are designed with the basic model in mind. I don't expect it makes a huge difference.
Weird - I got to the end of the 150 line mode. (Marathon) and got a worse score than my less lines one (I think i got something like twenty Tetris in a row on that one).
Marathon mode done. Very pleased with that. When I played it on the demo it seemed impossible, but I've picked up some of the tricks now. There's clearly a lot to learn, having barely played Tetris since the Gameboy version.
