which sonys did you try?Facewon wrote:From brief testing in store, those Sonys are great. When I thought I had money, I was leaning towards the Bayer dynamics I mentioned on page before, but they were aus$600 and the Sonys were aus$400. On sale, that seems like a no brainer to me.

How many inputs do you need?Facewon wrote:Bump because I need an audio thread.
Looking at amp situation and what I need.
I've been downsizing and compromising for a while, but a few things aren't quite right now.
I'll post pics soon, but basically:
1. I have a broken remote for my mini amp, which can't be replaced.
2. Apart from vinyl, if I want to listen to anything through my bookshelf speakers, they have to go via the TV. Mildly annoying/not sure if it's throttling amp quality.
3. I'd like to be able to play stuff through laptop without TV on.
4. I'm using a pre-amp to play vinyl.
5. The space I want to fit it into is 9.5cm high. Wide enough though to fit just about anything I've seen, but that exculdes a lot of trad amps.

This seems to fit the bill.
Thoughts?
Budget is as little as I can get away with.
