There's a thing around death spikes. They happen every few game years.
I have no idea what's base and what's not anymore, mod or DLC, but we've been loving big crematoriums. There's some user made ones which are massive and awesome to look at.
(If you mean you're getting the skull icon because the bodies aren't getting picked up, that's traffic stopping hearses.)
We also bought an eldercare thing, basically a nursing home. Gonna use more, I think it flattens the curve, sorry to be a bit topical.
But yeah, also, roundabouts etc. Defo get the TM:PE mod too. Start looking at arrows and stop and give way and priority etc. It's a whole other area of micromanaging and it's fun.
(Also, there's now road maintenance. Can make traffic faster, but won't necessarily help the congestion without sorting the flow. It fixes roads, and makes vehicles go faster, but if they're getting bottlenecked, it creates, BIG red spots.
Sorry. I should clarify. The 5 tallest are user made. The majority at same level are the standard office towers.
The flurro rectangle building is Perth city council building. The big triangle building is a user made unique. We added the 3 colour lights on the front.
Someone should really make a blueprint mod that allows you to plan out your city at no cost, and then click to purchase elements when you're happy with them/have the money.
Have hit 70k with Brubeck Beach, the map I've been posting. Will post the 2 big overview shots I took.
Been having a blast. Got parklife as our main dlc in this one, then working on mod tricks more and more. Move it mod, tm:pe, roundabout maker. Undo mod, electric roads, and all the assets that make life easier.
Sooo good.
Started a second city in a non snow alpine map. Looks spectacular. Using various euro themes.
Gonna try full snow with heating water pipes soon.
I have had to find mods that strip back background shit from steam, and the anti aliasing mod has gone from being set at extreme quality on 2 tiles to extreme performance on 6 tiles.
So my old pc would not have been able to cope, but I'm now tempted... Is the main game enough, that's like a fiver but there's loads of dlc - safe to ignore that all??
Yep. And even if you only feel the need to build one or two cities to big size, and are pretty done, you'll have probably had a great 20+ hrs for a fiver.
Started with that first circle. Where the big black tower is in the middle of the top pic. Even these are out of date now.
Have already filled more in down the right foreground. Out to the shore line. Have bought final 2 squares as well. So will continue around that coastline. As well as building a bridge from the first city circle to the new area.
Mass transit and Green Cities are both no brainers, and just add options to the vanilla experience without massively changing what you understand. Natural disasters is very much it's own thing. I'm yet to try with ND switched on, and all the additional stuff for it is very much related to dealing with disasters, so not useful in reg games.
Industries looks fucking cool, but be prepared to be getting into nitty gritty with industries.
Snowfall just adds snow maps and heating. The rest is cosmetic.
