Anyone whose still not donated, and is thinking about it - do it. There are a couple of hours left to go! I've spent a reasonable chunk of my life working on (and once upon a time being on) a children's ward, and this stuff makes a massive difference. There are obvious benefits - no-one fancies the idea of sitting in a strange bed for days on end with nothing to do, and feeling absolutely dreadful (and that goes x100 for children). There are also the not so obvious benefits. There's good evidence that if kids are able to lose themselves in an activity such as gaming, their pain levels drop accordingly, which means fewer drugs, and potentially faster recovery. Also, it's just a really nice thing to do at Christmas. So, in short, donate if you haven't already. And all those of you who have should feel a warm contented glow, knowing you have done something genuinely positive for a load of sick kids. (I'll shut up now. But yeah, well done all. Stuff like this is why I keep coming back here...)
