Videogame music or music in videogames? This might be stretching it a bit, but my two favourite examples of popular music used perfectly in games:
I thought Alan Wake was a bit special. It had flaws, but it's definitely near the top of my pile for 360 exclusives. The unexpected inclusion of my favourite Big O track closing the first chapter suckerpunched me with its suitability.
Also, a million points for Naughty Dog for an even better post-apocalyptic country selection than 'The Man Comes Around' from Snyder's Dawn of the Dead:

Held Terranigma in my hands brand new several times at the end of the SNES life cycle, and several times put it back on the shelf in EB - worth a mint now of course.Holding the wrong end of the stick since 2009. -
My copy is pristine almost new. It's in a tin box with padding inside. In a locked safe. In a fireproof cabinet. In some warehouse in the middle of nowhere where no harm can come to it.
