I think European forks are heavier as well. And yes, I've definitely feared to for my life everytime our ex-roommate had to use his knife. It was such a struggle that I, without really realizing, made sure that he hardly ever needed to use one. Thank god for covid which meant we couldn't eat out. The last time we were at a place that served steak it was quite the experience, it all started with the fact they didn't have chicken and he had to switch to something different which happened to be beef.
