Lots of shitty things. Their main thing is taking ideas and not paying for em. Had several agencies pitch for work day “no thanks” then use the work anyway. Also do it with prospective employees. Can’t remember the agency but they outed em on LinkedIn with their Punk AF concept.
And they force all their employees to use the Brewdog app in pub for tips and take a percentage of the money.
I thought the main issue was that there was a culture of rampant misogyny, to the extent that a large number of employees signed an open letter to the directors telling them they were dickbags (I'm paraphrasing).
Last night of my holiday, not even sulking because it's been that good. My daughter gets two weeks off for half term for some reason, so alternating the childcare weeks with my wife (who gets the second week off at the school she works in) has been a thing for a couple of years now - I book the first week off work and we do separate holidays (plus the wife absolutely loves having a week to herself once a year, and I expect I'll enjoy myself when they go back to the van next week). This is the second year running it's just been me and Tilly in the caravan for a week and we've done blissful amounts of almost fuck all. Lazy beach treasure hunting and eating from the local cake shop are the only things we've left the site for all week. She's had a great time, I've had a great time, and she finds out we've got a new cat when we get home tomorrow.
Just back from the vet after a check up for the old snip-snip. All well but unfortunately, I think it's an Irish thing, we have a habit of saying too many goodbyes. So after a few thanks, see ya, bye now, take care, I'm walking out the door and the vet says "Bye sweetie " obviously to the dog but the instinct to say the last goodbye kicked in and I replied see ya! It was only when I heard the lower toned "eh...yeah...bye" I realised but it gave me a chuckle.
